Come along and join us to plant more habitat and food trees at the Pottsville Wetland for our much loved koalas. With another 300 trees to go in the ground in June, we will have created an additional 6000 trees and 2.5ha of koala habitat at this important koala site.
To get to the planting site, drive south along Overall Drive at Pottsville Beach until you reach the roundabout at Kellehers Road. Turn right at the roundabout. Drive along Kellehers Road – you will reach an open gate and dirt road. Drive along the dirt road to the planting site. The road is ok for 2WD vehicles but does have potholes. There should be enough parking at the planting site but if you would like to park at the end of the bitumen road and carpool – that is also an option. If you park here, it will take you about 15-20mins to walk to the planting site but it is a nice walk.
What to wear/bring: Sunsafe clothes (long sleeved shirt and hat), gloves, water
What will be provided: All the holes for the trees will be dug, and water, trees and weed mats provided for us to install. Spare gloves, extra water and morning tea will also be provided
