Bilambil Rd Park

Tweed Shire Council and Tweed Landcare are hosting this year’s National Tree Day planting event on the bank of Duroby
Creek at Bilambil Road Park (accessed via Naponyah Road) from 9am – 1pm on Sunday 29 July.
Duroby Creek supports important habitats in the Terranora Broadwater estuary. This year’s planting will add to restoration works undertaken by Councils Waterways Program along 1.8km from the mouth of Durobby Creek to Bilambil Rd. Council has worked closely with Tweed Landcare and Bilambil Landcare volunteers for almost 20 years to restore over 5km of riparian land along Bilambil Creek. This year’s planting is a great opportunity for the local community to join in the efforts to rehabilitate our precious waterways.
Please bring some morning tea to share, a wheelbarrow or tub and mulch fork or shovel for spreading mulch. Gloves, tea, coffee and drinking water will be provided.
