Conservation

The Tweed is a unique and remarkably beautiful place. For over 30 years, Tweed Landcare has brought together people committed to sustaining and caring for the magnificent natural environment within the Tweed Caldera. The Tweed River Catchment is situated within the Tweed Volcano Caldera and Tweed Shire and is a biodiversity hotpot (Top 3 in Australia), with internationally significant landscapes and conservation values.

A key part of our work includes a focus on enhancing the conservation value and landscape connections within the Tweed Shire of NSW through leading and collaborating on projects focussed on nature conservation and bushland restoration.
